FORNEY DOUBLE ENDED LOCOMOTIVES

S-1 Class

Boston & Providence 10 "William Merrill" at the Rhode Island Locomotive Works when built in 1887.

No. 10 became S-1 2110 and was scrapped in 1914.

763 later 2110 was built by Rhode Island in 1887 as Boston & Providence 10.

Boston & Providence 59 "W.G.Russell" was built by Rhode Island in 1886 and became S-1 2112.

NYNH&H S-1 2112 was retired in 1913.

Boston & Providence 18 "Arnold Green" was built by Rhode Island in 1885, became S-1 2113 and was reired in 1908.


S-2 Class

370 later 2115 was built by Rhode Island as Providence & Worcester 12.

NYNH&H S-2 2115 was retired in 1913.



S-3 Class

Boston & Providence 26, ex Providence Warren & Bristol 4, was built by Taunton in 1885 and became New Haven 779 and 2116.

S-4 Class

Providence & Worcester 13 was built by Rhode Island in 1883 and became New Haven 371 and 2118.

NYNH&H 392 became S-4 2122. Built by Rhode Island in 1882 as P&W 34 and sold in 1907.

S-6 Class

New York Providence & Boston 45 was built by Rhode Island in 1889 and became New Haven 345 and 2128.

New York Providence & Boston 1 "W.E.Rutter" was built by the Rhode Island Locomotive Works in 1883 and became S-6 2130.

NYP&B 1 renumbered 45. The S-6 was scrapped in 1913.

Boston & Providence 51 was built by Rhode Island in 1882 and became New Haven 804

S-8 Class

220 later 2134 was built by Rhode Island in 1891.

S-8 2131 was built by Rhode Island in 1892 as NYNH&H 235.

237 was built by Rhode Island in 1892 and became S-8 2133.

S-8 2140 was built by the Rhode Island Locomotive Works in 1891 as 226
