The Prodigal Panels Return - 11/2010

When we dropped the aluminum panels off, we thought it would take about 5-7 days for them to be completed . . . it ended up being 5 long weeks. In the meantime, without the rear suspension parts, and without the parts needed to complete the pedal box, Jim was stuck. So when the panels finally returned to us in mid-November, Jim set to work making up for a lot of lost time. It is amazing to see the progress he has made in the last month and a half.

The first thing he did was mount most of the newly powder-coated aluminum panels. Hundreds of rivets and hand cramps later, Lola was starting to look like a car, and no longer just a metal frame. He also added seat mounts to the interior panels so that the seats would be movable, removable and slightly reclined once they were installed.
