First Steps - 9/19/2010

Prior to Lola's arrival, we had to do a few things to get ready for her . . . like make our tiny, one-car garage into a serviceable environment to build a car. We also had to build a body buck on which Lola's vinyl ester body (stronger, lighter and thinner than fiberglass) would rest for the duration of the build. The buck is necessary for the body to keep its shape for the number of months that it must be off the chassis. Armed with detailed measurements of Lola's dimensions, we built something which our neighbors all decided must be some sort of bunk bed.
