Independent Rear Suspension - 10/9/2010-

The independent rear suspension has proven to be a bit more difficult of a task than the front suspension. The driver's side arm was assembled fairly easily; however, the passenger's side refused to cooperate. One of the bolts that had to be put into the arm got completely stuck. Jim couldn't get it to move further in or back out, even after having me stand on top of the arm and getting a giant wrench for leverage. So it is back to the drawing board for the passenger side and a new arm will have to be sent from Factory Five. We are still waiting for cv shafts which are on back-order from Factory Five to complete the IRS as well. In the meantime, the driver's side suspension is completely ready to go. We just have to hope that Factory Five will send us the arm and cv shafts soon as there are only a few side projects that we can proceed with without having the IRS on.
