Principle # 10: WE ARE BASED ON AUTONOMY AND DECENTRALIZATION

We collectively create the structures we need to challenge power. Anyone who follows these core principles and values can take action in the name of Extinction Rebellion.

In this 10 week Empathy Cafe series, we will use the Empathy Circle process to discuss and explore a different Extinction Rebellion Principle each Saturday. We will have an ongoing dialogue about the meaning and application of these principles. Bring your questions, comments, feelings, thoughts, needs and insights. You can share whatever is alive for you.

We will address such questions as:

* How do you live this principle?

* How does this principle support or challenge you?

* How might this principle have a tension with another principle?

Love ‘em! I think they’re great ways to come together creatively.

Reflection on today’s principle: many of the social movements we’re seeing have large degrees of overlap, some being inextricably connected. What does our guiding vision/strategy look like that self-organizes them all together; how does our work integrate with parallel efforts in resilient and collaborative ways?
