Never Auditioned For Us Before?
Here are some things to know. Brighton High School auditions are open to all interested student actors and none of our shows are precast. Our auditions are fun and friendly, and while we can't guarantee you won't be nervous, we do promise to cheer for you at auditions! Previous stage experience, while helpful, is not necessary to audition. Almost all BHS productions include actors appearing on our stage for the first time -- maybe this show it will be your turn!
When you arrive, we'll ask you to turn in a simple audition form, giving us your name and contact information and any anticipated rehearsal conflicts. There will be space for you to list any performing experiences or special skills you deem relevant. After you've filled out your audition form, you will get your picture taken. Then you can sit back and relax until your name is called. Then you will come into the choir room, where you will perform your song and acting lines in front of 3-4 judges (including the directors and co-directors). That's all there is to it. We hope to see you at the Spring Musical auditions!
