October Week 4 - STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS!
Big update today... READ ALL THE WORDS!
Home Show was a MASSIVE SUCCSESS! From every angle, it was a jam packed day that I know all of us will hold onto for a very long time. Each year home show has always been one of my favorite days of the season and this year's is at the top of that list - thank you to EVERYONE who played a part in the day, whether you were volunteering, in the audience, placed an ad, or anything at all, your support allowed the day to become as memorable as it was. Members... the push you gave to make it through that day and get better every rep is a perfect example of why we're here. Thank you for giving your all for your team and for pushing yourselves to be the best version of yourselves at all times. It finally "clicked" and now it's time to finish strong!
IT'S STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS WEEK! Time to represent ourselves on a new, much larger stage than we have before. In my opinion, this is our first year in the tier of "Big Dawgs" and exposing ourselves to this level of performance will help motivate us for this year and beyond. I encourage everyone to check out videos of the bands we are up against - these are all very well established and top level programs (JP Stevens, West Orange, Clearview, Elizabeth, Westfield).
States Ticket Sales - states tickets are now available for purchase HERE! PLEASE NOTE: there will be no ticket sales at the gate (cash handling/kiosks). Audience members will however be able to use their phones to purchase at the gate through the above link.
This Week's Schedule
Busy week coming up with a far away playoff game, rehearsal Saturday (and States Sendoff!) and State Championships Sunday. Reminder that Saturday's rehearsal is now 12-8 as announced a few weeks back. Family and Friends, feel free to come out and enjoy our ensemble rehearsal in the stadium from any time from 5-8 on Saturday! We will run the show at 7:45 PM.
Tuesday - after school rehearsal, pickup 6:15 PM
Thursday - after school rehearsal, pickup 6:15 PM
Friday - Away Playoff Game (7) at Hunterdon Central/Sectional Rehearsals
GUARD and FRONT ENSEMBLE - rehearsing 3:15-6
The football team is now in the playoffs - any loss will remove all remaining football games from the schedule. A win will mean we play a game the next week.

4:00 PM - load buses
4:30 PM - depart Kingsway
6:00 PM~ - arrive at Hunterdon Central/dress/unload/take seats
7:00 PM - Game Begins
9:45 PM~ - game ends/load buses/depart
11:30 PM~ - arrive at Kingsway/unload/dismissal/IMMEDIATE SLEEP
Saturday - 12-8 Rehearsal Day/States Send off
12:00 PM - rehearsal begins
4:00 PM - lunch (bring own)
5:00 PM - ensemble rehearsal in stadium (spectators welcome)
7:45 PM - final run through
8:00 PM - done (fully load truck/UHaul)
8:30 PM - dismissal

I know it's a very long weekend... but please avoid any unexcused lateness on Monday morning. We don't want anyone being put in a bad spot academically!
Looking Ahead - next week we go directly into Nationals week followed by fall break. A reminder that next week, we will not hold after school rehearsal on Tuesday (Halloween) but instead will rehearse on Wednesday. A game Friday is TBD, Saturday we will rehearse in the morning before loading up and heading to Allentown PA for National Championships!
