Hi, everyone! My name is Ethan and I am the trumpet section leader for the 2020 season. I am going to be a junior this school year, and this year is also my fourth season of marching band. I have marched trumpet for every one of those seasons and have been playing trumpet for about six years in total. Outside of marching band, a lot of what I do is still related to band and playing trumpet. I have been a part of both the jazz and concert bands here at Kingsway, and I am a member of the select jazz ensemble. Outside of school, I also march drum corps, and in the summer of 2019, I competed in DCA (Drum Corps Associates) with Fusion Core. I plan to continue in this activity throughout high school and college, either continuing in DCA or going for DCI (Drum Corps International) if I am able to. Aside from all of this band and trumpet stuff, I am in Kingsway's S.T.E.M. Academy, and I eventually want to go into the engineering field, although I do not know which college I want to attend yet. And finally, regardless of everything happening in the world right now, I am still very excited to see what the 2020 marching season will shape up to be.
