Short description:
This paper describes a search approach to identify economic evaluations, suitable for the German context. A literature search was undertaken. No evidence for a specific approach for economic study identification was found and an eight step process developed. Following testing of the eight steps, the authors propose that the economic literature search should be separate from the effectiveness search. The use of standardised search filters alone is not recommended. National databases and secondary literature are important to search.
