🐻 About Grizzly Learning Camp (GLC) – Middle School Program

Grizzly Learning Camp is where summer transforms into a season of discovery, creativity, and adventure for middle school students! Hosted by Ypsilanti Community Schools, GLC offers an exciting, six-week, tuition-free program that blends academic enrichment with hands-on exploration, powered by Project-Based Learning (PBL) and cross-curricular connections.

🎯 What Makes GLC Unique?

Each student selects four dynamic classes per two-week session—designed to engage multiple disciplines like science, math, art, literacy, engineering, social studies, and wellness. Every class revolves around a central theme, and each session focuses on an independent project-based topic, making it flexible for learners to join any session without missing out.

Aligned with MI Standards, CCSS, and NGSS, GLC integrates voice and choice, differentiated instruction, and reflection to meet the needs of diverse learners. From creating eco-fashion, coding video games, exploring animal habitats, to reimagining travel across cultures—GLC empowers students to think deeply, collaborate meaningfully, and express themselves creatively.
