Master Fellow
Minor in Marketing
Served as a Fellow for:
Why Do You Eat That? with Prof. Joseph Scarcelli
Work, Play, Learn with Prof. Brian Malcarne
Most memorable experience as a Fellow:
Creating the connections with the students and being a role model for them through this transition period of their life. It was also really nice to see them around campus and say hi or have a conversation with them. It helps you not only grow as a person but helps the students become acclimated to the college lifestyle as well.
Takeaway from the Fellowing experience:
Be comfortable being uncomfortable. Since we are the role models of the class, ultimately we are going to know nobody and the students look up to us. They are just as nervous and excited as we are. You have to put yourself out there first and reach them so they feel comfortable going to reach out to you. If you have a smile on your face and exuberate confidence then everything will fall into place.
Best advice to prospective Fellows:
Build a relationship with the teacher or teachers you work with. I have grown so much with the professors I have worked with. I also feel comfortable talking to them in any setting, asking for a letter of recommendation, and it just helps the class flow more naturally when that bond and synergy is present. Do not be afraid, just go for it!
