Father Mike on COVID-19

Fr. Mike gives us some advice about how we should respond to the coronavirus pandemic.

Bishop Barron on COVID-19

Blaise Pascal said, “All of humanity’s problems stem from man’s inability to sit quietly in a room alone.” Perhaps we could all think of this time as an invitation to some monastic introspection, some serious confrontation with the questions that matter—some purposeful sitting alone in a room.

Praying the Rosary

From the apostolic letter, "Rosarium Virginis Mariae", St. Pope John Paul II states, "One thing is clear: although the repeated Hail Mary is addressed directly to Mary, it is to Jesus that the act of love is ultimately directed, with her and through her. The repetition is nourished by the desire to be conformed ever more completely to Christ, the true programme of the Christian life. Saint Paul expressed this project with words of fire: “For me to live is Christ and to die is gain” (Phil 1:21). And again: “It is no longer I that live, but Christ lives in me” (Gal 2:20). The Rosary helps us to be conformed ever more closely to Christ until we attain true holiness."

Staff and students are encouraged to join us in praying the Rosary every Friday morning at 8:00 am via Google Meet @ strrosary.
