What is Learning Strategies?
Students identified with Learning Disabilities and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder may enrol in Learning Strategies courses in grades 9 - 12.
These credit courses focus on the development of learning strategies to help students become more independent learners and build self-confidence, self-efficacy skills and motivation to pursue opportunities for success in secondary school and beyond. The program also focuses on literacy and numeracy development, study skills, test writing skills, learning styles, learning strengths and areas of need (understanding your IEP), organization, time and resource management, career and transition planning.
