On our first day of class, the snow day, my sister's friend who lives down the street lost power so she ended up spending the day with us. Though it was clearly a poor choice, I agreed to go on their walk with them in the frigid weather. I decided to make the best of it though, and drop behind for a minute to get this photo.

While visiting my younger cousins this winter, they wanted to show me a new trail they had made through the woods that led to the river behind their house. Their dog, Callie, tagged along on our adventure and ended up making it into this photo I took of them playing in the snow.

This photo was taken at the same time as "Jack and Callie." While we were exploring the snowy wonderland down the river, I captured this moment of the mountain dog in her happy place.
