There are many things that I find intriguing about this pinch pot. Something that I notice is how the inside of the pinch pot stands out, the reason being is because the inside is a darker color than the outside of the pot. They used some sort of poker to imprint holes all around the pinch-pot, and some of the holes pushed through on the inside. The pot also is not perfect, and this looks on purpose. They made each one different and created a wonky top so it wasn’t perfecting even. It looks as if some of the sides are not the same thickness as other ones. The outside of the pot seems to have no glave or a very little amount. I would say the most interesting part about this piece is how the inside stands out so much, by the way, they made it a different color and not much texture, whereas the outside is covered in texture.
This pot looks very shallow and not that high on the edges. The sides are quite thin, and I think it is super cool how the tops of them are painted gold, it makes the pot look very neat. The texture looks super smooth, and there are no imprints or carving seeable. The colors all mix with each other very well and even though the design is very intricate, the colors all go well with each other so it is not hard to look at. Some of the colors are more vibrant than others and some are more on the dull side. The pot itself is painted white, which makes all the flowers pop out more. I think the most interesting part of this piece is the details of the flowers, and how there are so many different types of flowers drawn. I find this interesting because I love flowers and almost anything with flowers on it. I think the way they added the gold rim is also super intriguing.
This pot is more on the simple side. From what we can see there are parts of 2 flowers, the color of these flowers are not that bright and the tones are all neutral, except for the middle of the flower which is lavender. The pinch pot still has fingerprints pressed in and the top of it is not perfectly flat, I think this was done intentionally to create this sort of “not perfect” effect. There are letters that look pressed in at the top, and I really love the saying “good morning”, the “good” is a darker color than the flower because the glaze pooled inside the cracks. The handle's length is almost the size of the mug and is very neatly made. The handle does not have fingerprints like the mug does. The thickness stays somewhat the same but changes slightly in certain spots, you can tell this because there are small shadows that are created. I find this pinch-pot interesting, because of many different things. First, because I love how there is a saying pressed in, and how the pinch-pot is not perfectly smooth and even.
