Purpose:
To demonstrate understanding of accurate perspective of cylinders and cubes;
To use a variety of mark-making strategies to practice and demonstrate the value changes on forms, helping them appear 3D
To practice using a variety of media to draw a still life
Artists Studied: Henry Moore, Vincent van Gogh, Giorgio Morandi
Reflection:
My drawings and placement look great, as well as my angels and ellipses. I understand how to draw them and how to make them look better. Looking at my drawings I notice that all of them look proportionate and are done neatly. I think my rough sketches with pencil are done carefully and are working well. Thou
I need to work on value and mark-making. I understand value and what it should look like, but I need to give extra attention on how to make it look better and how to make it look more realistic. I also should give more attention to shading and highlighting, to make the objects look more realistic and stand out from the other objects. My shadowing in my practices look messy and out of place, so it would be good to practice that more before working on my final.
