How do Op Artists change how we perceive a 2D surface? In what ways did you do this in your work?
An Op Artist uses patterns and optical illusions to create movement or the illusion of four-dimensionality on a 2D surface, which tricks our eyes. Through my art, I use geometric patterns and contrasting colors to create an optical illusion. The repetitive triangles and spiraling forms give the impression of movement and depth, making the 2D surface feel almost three-dimensional. I manipulate perception by playing around with size and distortion.
