This guide explains how teams and user roles work in Exei, and how to manage access across your organization.
Team and access management in Exei helps ensure that the right people have the right level of access to AI agents, conversations, and organization features.
Exei allows you to invite multiple users to your organization and control what they can access.
Team management is handled at the organization level and applies across all AI agents created within the organization.
Only users with the appropriate permissions can manage team members.
Exei supports three predefined user roles. Each role is designed for a specific level of responsibility and access.
The Super Admin has full control over the organization.
A Super Admin can:
Create, edit, and manage all AI agents.
Invite and manage users.
Assign roles and agent access.
Access all organization-level settings..
Configure notification settings.
Notes:
The first user who signs up becomes a Super Admin.
Super Admins cannot change their own role.
The Agent Admin role is designed for users who manage specific AI agents.
An Agent Admin can:
Edit assigned AI agents.
Train agents and update configurations.
Deploy agents across channels.
View conversations and analytics for assigned agents.
Setup AI Actions.
Agent Admins do not have access to organization-level settings or user management.
The Agent User role is intended for operational or support team members.
An Agent User can:
View assigned AI agents.
Test AI agents using the Test AI Agent screen.
Perform Human Takeover on live conversations.
Add comments to service tickets.
Agent Users have read-only access and cannot modify agent configurations.
To invite a new user to your organization:
Go to the Team section.
Click Add User.
Enter the user’s work email address.
Select a role.
Assign access to specific AI agents.
Send the invitation.
The invited user receives an email and can join the organization after accepting the invite.
When inviting or editing a user, you can control which AI agents they can access.
This allows you to:
Limit access to sensitive agents.
Assign users only to relevant projects.
Maintain security and clarity.
Agent access can be updated at any time by a Super Admin.
Only Super Admins can edit or remove users.
Super Admins can:
Change a user’s role
Update assigned AI agents
Edit user details
Remove users from the organization
Changes take effect immediately.
Limit the number of Super Admins.
Use Agent Admin roles for users managing AI agents.
Assign Agent User roles to support or operations teams.
Review user access regularly.
Remove access for inactive users.
Following these practices helps maintain security and operational clarity.
Once your team is set up, you’re ready to start building AI agents.
