The Website channel allows you to customize how your AI agent appears and interacts with users on your website or storefront.
This customization controls the visual identity, greeting experience, and chat behavior of the agent, ensuring it aligns with your brand guidelines before going live.
To customize your AI agent for the website:
Open your AI agent from the My Agents page.
Go to Channels.
Select Website.
Open the Customize tab.
All changes made here affect how the agent appears on your website widget. You can Preview it as well in the Test AI Agent Section.
Upload Your Favicon, Avatar or a Mascot
You can upload your logo, avatar or a mascot for your AI agent with whom your users/customers will connect.
Supported formats: JPG, PNG, SVG
Maximum file size: 2 MB
This icon appears in the chat header and helps visually identify your agent.
The AI Agent Name is displayed at the top of the chat widget.
Use a name that:
Represents your brand or assistant persona.
Is easy for users to recognize.
Example: Daisy Mae AI
The Greeting Message is the first message users see when they open the chat widget.
Use this to:
Introduce the agent
Set expectations
Encourage interaction
Example: “Hi there, I’m Daisy Mae, your dedicated AI agent. How can I assist you?”
Label Text is the short text shown on the chat button before the widget is opened.
Example: “Hi 👋 Let’s talk”
This helps invite users to start a conversation.
Custom Cues are short prompt suggestions shown to users to help them start conversations.
Each cue has a maximum of 50 characters
Multiple cues can be added
Example cues:
“Show me popular products”
“Track my order”
“Help me choose a product”
These cues improve engagement and guide user intent.
Controls the size of text inside the chat widget.
Available options include:
Small
Medium
Large
Choose a size that balances readability and compactness.
Controls the font family used in the widget.
Example:
Poppins
Choose a font that aligns with your brand’s typography.
You can fully customize the color palette of the chat widget.
Background Color – Overall widget background
Exei Message Color – AI agent message bubble
Exei Message Text Color – Text color for AI responses
User Message Color – User message bubble
User Message Text Color – Text color for user messages
Exei Header Color – Chat header background
Exei Header Text Color – Header text color
These settings control the top section of the widget where the agent name and avatar appear.
On the right side of the screen, you can see a real-time preview of the chat widget.
This preview updates instantly as you change:
Text
Colors
Fonts
Greeting messages
Use this preview to fine-tune the look before saving.
Click Save to apply the customization
Click Reset to revert to default settings
Changes take effect immediately on refresh or redeployment.
Match widget colors to your brand palette.
Keep greeting messages short and friendly.
Use clear, action-oriented custom cues.
Test the widget on both desktop and mobile.
Avoid overly bright or low-contrast color combinations.
Once your agent is customized, you can:
Embed it on your website or Shopify storefront
Test live conversations
Monitor engagement and performance
