For this project I wanted to better improve my confidence taking portraiture photography by experimenting with both studio and street. I feel I could have improved this project by selecting a more complex edit rather then the distortion edit of Sakir Yildirim, although I am happy with how those pictures turned out, I believe I could have pushed myself more and experimented with a more advanced edit to improve my skills on photoshop as I haven't experimented too much with photoshop as of yet.
I am particularly proud of this image because I believe it captures the overarching theme of Garry Winogrand, and that is documenting people during their daily lives, and this man in particular prides himself on being able to play the Sitar which not many people can do. The shot itself I really like as the foreground is crisp and the main focal point of the picture, whilst the background has a shallow depth of field, I think this helps the picture as Garry Winogrand frequently experimented with focusing on one person with his photography and using the rest of people in the shot simply as the background. Overall, I'm very happy with this project and I feel like I have come out of it a better photographer then I started out as.
