A Chromebook's keyboard is different than a typical pc laptop. Google has put in keys that are unique to a Chromebook and Chrome OS, for example you have a Search button and a Refresh button. However, because of those new keys, typical laptop keys are missing. For example, the f keys are missing from the top row, and even more suprising for some is the lack of a CAPS Lock button. So to make up for the change, Google has put in a lot of keyboard shortcuts. There are way too many to remember, but anytime you need to access them, just push CTRL + ALT + ? on the Chromebook keyboard to bring up a virtual keyboard with all the shortcuts, as shown in the video below.
Commonly used shortcuts:
Caps lock: ALT + Search
Delete: ALT + Backspace
Copy: CTRL + C
Paste: CTRL + V
