Perhaps your RT has already done an Action Research. Now is the opportunity for you to participate and assist in ways that you are capable of doing.
Here is what you will do:
1. Make a List of Completed Action Research Title by Teachers in the field.
Make an on-line research of the different Completed Action Research Titles conducted by teachers
Enter the list in the matrix below
Submit your five (5) Titles of Completed Research Studies to your RT as reference
INVENTORY of SAMPLE ACTION RESEARCH CONDUCTED BY TEACHERS
2. Based on your activity on Making a Lust of Completed AR, find out what you have noticed by answering the following questions:
3. Understanding fully he concept and the process of AR, you will be able to learn and provide the needed assistance to your RT in doing AR.
NOTICE:
1. What concepts have been emphasized in the task and infographics? Give at least four.
The concepts that have been emphasized in the infographic as well as the task are Research, Action, Practice, and Questions.
What are the common elements in the 3 models of AR that was presented?
Based on what I've observed in the three Action Research models, they have similarities. What they have in common is that they have the same traits. Additionally, they follow a cycle that entails activities like watching, reflecting, planning, acting, assessing, and adjusting. Action researchers frequently use the components I listed above to gather data. In conclusion, action research tests theories while they are being produced and offers immediate feedback on what works and how it works.
1. Choose the AR sample abstract that you submitted. Analyze the components vis-s vis only one model out of the 3 presented.
What have you understood about the concept of AR and how will these be utilized in your practice?
The action research method is used to improve educational practice. Its techniques include acting, assessing it, and commenting on it. It is a technique for acquiring data to alter procedure. Plans for action research are also created, put into action, changed, and put into action once more, providing for an ongoing cycle of reflection and revision. Additionally, I'll use these in my practice lessons to put all these strategies into practice.
Based on the previous readings and the activities that you have that you have done,
1. What significant readings you have learned about AR?
To evaluate and eventually improve their pedagogy and practice, educational practitioners and professionals frequently use the method to educational research known as action research. Action research is thus a continuation of the critical self-reflection and reflection that educators practice every day in the classroom. The classroom can be dynamic and uncertain when pupils are actively engaged in learning, necessitating the teacher's constant attention. Given these pressures, instructors frequently only have time for brief reflection that serves as a sort of formative assessment, adjustment, or modification. Action research provides a means of more intentional, in-depth, and critical reflection that may be recorded and evaluated to enhance a teacher's practice.
2. Have you realized that there is a need to be an action researcher as a future teacher? Yes or No? If yes, complete the sentence below
I realized that there is a need to be an action researcher as a future teacher because it will help us in determining the issues that we have in our educational system, and we are given the opportunity to address it.
3. As a future researcher, is conducting an AR worth doing? WHY?
Conducting an Action Research is worth doing because besides that you will learn a lot from the experience, you get to see a problem and view it in different kinds of lenses which can help address it.
4. How can AR be useful for every classroom teacher?
Action research is useful for every classroom teacher because they get to address the problems that they have inside the classroom and make a study on how to address the issue.
1. Observe.
Remembering my classroom observations in FS 1, I noticed that there are many questions that I raised in my mind. These include:
a. What are some effective ways on classroom management in a kindergarten classroom?
b. Are there other strategies that could improve the numeracy skills of the children?
c. What is the better medium of instruction to be used inside the classroom? English or Hiligaynon?
2. Reflect.
Thinking deeply about those problems, perhaps something have been done to solve the problem or answer the question, like:
a. By having a classroom intervention on the seating arrangements of the students.
b. By researching and providing activities that can enhance their numeracy skills.
c. By taking note of each of the student’s preferred medium of instruction and assess it.
3. Plan.
Now, That I am in FS 2, I plan to make a plan for my solution to the problem of the numeracy skills of children because we have observed that they are still struggling even on the basic concepts of numeracy specifically simple addition.
4. Act.
My action will come later, given enough time in FS 2 or during my Teaching Internship.
