3. Basing on the video, observe the learners in the different groups. Note their characteristics, interactions, etc.
4 Write your observation by completing the matrix below.
Describe the school environment based on your observation
On social environment
The social environment of the school is active and engaging towards students because in class discussions, they are encouraged to raise their hands if they want to answer. Even though there are many students who want to answer, the teacher reminds them that they have to raise their hand in order to be acknowledged and heard. Through this, I have observed that there is order inside the classroom since there are established rules and regulations for everyone to benefit. This is important especially for the teacher since it is more organized and systematic which allows more opportunity for learning. The students also listen attentively in the discussion and they are very participative throughout the activities and seat works. Mutual respect can also be observed inside the classroom as well as supporting each other’s learning.
On psychological environment
For the psychological aspect of the school environment, everyone was given the chance to answer whether individual or choral recitation. They are all involved in class and an addition to the participation of the students, the seat works are evident which gives students the chance to learn and cope with the objectives that were set in the groups where they belong. As mentioned in the social environment, order and organization is present inside the classroom and this is crucial to the learning process of students since it promotes quality learning that is free from any distractions. Building positive peer relationships among students is also observed in the classroom simply by the encouragement of asking your classmate something about the task that is not clear to you. Motivation inside the classroom can also be seen especially the effort of the teacher in preparation of activities.
On physical environment
In the physical environment of the school, the teacher utilized the space by groups so that it would be easy for her to identify which is which and address the needs of each group depending on their ability from the pre-assessment that was conducted. Respective places and seats were arranged accordingly, which allows students to focus and continue on their tasks. I also observed that the teacher tasks the students that if they are done with their work, they can grab a book and read it, which means there is a reading corner inside the classroom. This reading corner is very important in the beginning reading because it engages students to read and instills a habit of reading during their free time.
Learners' Development Matrix
Record the data you gathered about the learners' characteristics and needs in this matrix. This will allow you to compare the characteristics and needs of learners at different abilities. The items under each domain are by no means exhaustive. You may add other aspects which you may have observed.

1. Is there anyone you observed who appear left out? Are students who appear "different?" Why do they appear different? Are they accepted or rejected by the others? How is this shown?
From the three groups that were presented with differentiated activities, there is no one who appeared left out but there are students who appeared “different” and this is the green group or the ones who belonged in the basic group. They appear different because the approach of the teacher when it comes to their group is more of discussing previous lessons or having recaps before giving them the activities that are in lined with the new topic presented in the whole class. Others accept the group and it is shown by giving them more time to process their learning and giving them a chance to interact with their seatmate of classmates about their questions pertaining the lesson.
2. What strategies does the teacher use to maximize the benefits of diversity in the classroom? How does the teacher leverage diversity?
There are many strategies that the teacher used to promote diversity inside the classroom and one of it is grouping the students based on their ability. There is also a specific arrangement as to what group will be the first one to be given the differentiated activity and this is also a strategy to maximize the instruction time in class. Everyone will have enough time to do their tasks and another strategy that the teacher utilized is the classroom routines wherein she established rules and routines inside the classroom so that it would be more organized and conducive for learning.

1. What dispositions and traits will you need as a future teacher to meet the needs of the learners?
As a future teacher, I have to be flexible on the strategies that I will utilize inside the classroom to address the needs of the learners in a better manner. I will also be considerate to their learning capability and pace of learning since every student is unique and has their own strengths and weaknesses that I should be aware of. Being patient also adds up to the goal of meeting the needs of the learners because as a teacher, we need to be thorough in order to have accurate solutions with variety of activities for the learners. Lastly, being resourceful inside the classroom and with the knowledge I have in classroom management, I will be able to meet the needs of the learners and also establish a routine that is effective inside the classroom.
2.How did you feel being in the classroom where there is diversity? Did you feel a sense of oneness or unity among the learners and between the teacher and the learners?
Being in the classroom where there is diversity feels welcoming since students with different backgrounds are being placed in a room to embrace the diversity and make as the strength of the class. Despite the differences, you can really feel the oneness of the learners in making sure that each one is heard and seen without making an impression of being intimidating towards each other. The unity of the teacher and the learners to promote diversity and inclusivity among all is the strength of the class.

Make A REFLECTION acrostic about the home, school and community link.
The link between the home, school, and community is important in the learning and development of the learners because these play major roles in children’s everyday lives. Parents need to collaborate and help teachers in guiding children with their learning. Teachers on the other hand need to communicate with the parents and suggest to establish routines at home so that when they go to school, they already have an idea. Classroom strategies such as hands-on activities, discussing rules with children, and observing them are important things the teacher should highlight. Organizing meaningful experiences and advocating multicultural education by showcasing the community can help in their learning experiences. New approaches to learning can also be done with this link and it is up to the teacher, the parents and the community on how they can utilize them in a manner wherein children are more engaged in home, school and community.
