Advanced Placement (AP)

Advanced Placement (AP) courses offer students the opportunity to earn college credit after taking the AP exam in May. Please see the CollegeBoard website for more information on AP exams. Funding for AP exam fees is based on grants each year. The intention is that WHS covers all fees for all students. Funding is not known until the fall of each year. Students will be notified before they sign up for the AP exam and the funding that will be available.

The following AP courses are offered at WHS for the 2022 - 2023 school year:

AP Biology
AP Chemistry
AP US History
AP Government
AP World History
AP - Seminar
AP English - Language
AP English - Literature
AP Computer Science Principles

Some AP classes are also College in the High School classes and students will have the option to earn college credit through that program. The teacher for each class will discuss with the students the options they have for college credit.
