  • Hand-out textbooks. Take home and leave home.

  • Show student "Classroom Resources" section on Google Classroom which allows various things that may be of help to them throughout the semester

  • Read aloud last paragraph pg. 2. Define "law" and discuss.

  • Article VI, Section 2 of Constitution "Supremacy Clause". Discussion



  • Review PowerPoint slideshow/Overview of Chapter

  • FLIP assignment : Read textbook pgs. 2-10. Prepare to have discussion in class.

  • Complete 28th Amendment assignment on Google classroom

  • Complete "What is Law" reflective writing assignment.


  • Review "What is Law" handout.

  • Return 28th Amendment assignment. Have Socratic discussion/students read their proposal for fundamental change to our constitution.

  • Discuss the use of the study guide pages in the classroom and hand out hard copy.

  • Common Law and Court of Equity. Discussion. Specific performance/Restraining Order/Injunction


  • Read pg. 4 Courts of Equity/Restraining Order/Injunction

  • What is a chancery court? What is its main function?

  • What is a court of equity? What is its main function?

  • Source of Law: STATUTES/JUDICIAL DECISIONS

  • Discuss INJUNCTION article A-ROD and MLB.

  • Begin discussion on differences b/w Civil and Criminal Law.

  • Discussion how crimes are classified. What is a "wobbler"?
