Sarah Tishman
Individual, Group, and EMDR Therapist
Individual, Group, and EMDR Therapist
Specialties: EMDR, Substance Abuse, BPD, Trauma
Sarah works with teens, young adults, and adults struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, substance use, and Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Many of her clients come to therapy feeling exhausted from trying to manage everything on their own, feeling stuck in unhealthy patterns, or feeling like their emotions are constantly taking over.
Her approach is warm, supportive, and down to earth. Sarah is trained in EMDR and also incorporates DBT, CBT, and IFS depending on what each client needs. Therapy may focus on managing emotions, improving relationships, building coping skills, processing trauma, and helping clients feel more stable and confident in their daily lives.
Sarah has extensive experience providing both individual and group therapy in outpatient settings as well as higher levels of care including PHP and IOP programs. She is comfortable working with clients experiencing a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges and understands that healing looks different for everyone.
She received her undergraduate degree from Northeastern University in 2018 and graduated from Boston University School of Medicine in 2023. Sarah works collaboratively with clients to help them better understand themselves, feel more in control of their emotions, and create meaningful change at a pace that feels manageable and realistic.
