Wise Mind is a therapy practice offering individual, EMDR, and group therapy for adolescents and young adults in Massachusetts. The name comes from the DBT concept of wise mind, the ability to integrate emotion and logic to make more grounded and effective decisions, especially in high intensity moments. That idea is central to how we approach therapy.
WHO WE WORK WITH
Many of the people we work with feel things deeply, react quickly, or find themselves stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand. We specialize in working with clients navigating Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Complex PTSD, and the broader experience of feeling overwhelmed by emotions, relationships, or a sense of not fully understanding themselves.
Although we specialize in BPD and trauma-related disorders, many of our clients are high school and college students seeking support for the general stressors and challenges that come with this stage of life. We work with young people navigating anxiety, relationships, family dynamics, identity development, life transitions, and feeling overwhelmed or unsure of themselves. Our goal is to provide support that feels approachable, collaborative, and genuinely helpful while working through these challenges.
OUR APPROACH
Our approach integrates DBT, Psychodynamic, and Relational therapy. That means we’re helping you manage emotions in the moment, process underlying trauma, and understand the patterns that continue to show up in your life and relationships. We’re not just focused on coping, and we’re not just focused on the past; we’re working across both so change actually feels possible.
Sessions are collaborative and tailored to what feels most helpful and relevant to you. We focus on current stressors and patterns while also exploring the underlying experiences, relationships, and emotions connected to them.
Our goal is to help clients better understand themselves, improve relationships and emotional regulation, reduce suffering, and feel more capable of navigating life and its challenges.
