Attendance and Punctuality

Starting from next Friday 1st October, we will be looking at and monitoring every childs attendance and punctuality at school. If either of these fall below expected levels, then we will be following our attendance policy and letters will be sent home.

It is expected that every child should arrive to school on time each day. Gates open from 8:30am and close at 8:40am.

If your child is unwell then you should notify the office asap and before the start of school. This can be done by calling, leaving a voicemail, email or sending a message on School Gateway.

SCHOOL MEALS

The cost of school meals is now £2.10 a day (£10.50 per week) for children in Preschool, Nursery, Year 3 and Year 4.

Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, alongside those registered for Free School Meals, will continue to recieve their meal for free each day.

For children in Preschool - Year 2, all children have a school meal each day.

For children in Year 3 and 4 - children may opt to bring a packed lunch, but our preference would be that they continue to take a school meal.

BREAKTIME SNACK

Don't forget, if your child is in Year 3 or 4 they are able to bring a healthy snack into school for breaktime.

Please Remember - Meals should be booked and paid for in advance each week on the School Gateway App - Clubs section.

We still have a few parents who are not booking their child in for a meal.

LUNCHTIME ETIQUETTE!

Children have adapated really well to the new seating arrangements for lunchtime.

The older children have been fantastic role models for the younger children that they share that table with them.

Milk in School

Every child in school under the age of 5 and/or in receipt of Pupil Premium will receive a drink of milk in school. Once your child turns 5, you will then need to register and pay for their milk if you would like them to continue to have it. This can be done by clicking here.

Don't forget, payment for this trip is due on Friday 15th October 2022.

2. Every time you shop online, go to easyfundraising first to find the site you want and start shopping.

There are no catches or hidden charges and Prudhoe West PTA will be really grateful for your donations.

AMAZON SMILE

If shopping on Amazon, please also support the school by accessing amazon via smile.amazon.co.uk

The first time you log on, search for 'Prudhoe West' (Prudhoe West First School Parent Teacher Association) and select us as your organisation to support, then shop via the smile.amazon.co.uk link rather than the main amazon site. Again there is no difference to you, but this will support the school. Please share these links via your socials and with friends and family.
