Who Do I Call For a Patient and When?
Triage patient: The most confusing scenario. It depends on what time of day it is and if you are admitting or discharging the patient. See flowsheet (attached) and Provider Availability Google Sheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19Hyiec3FL1AhwdPHoZSYZrzcwg5C01_ekm4H2hp3Z5E/edit?gid=0#gid=0).
Bodette/Arnold, Leisure/Malloy, and Kovach/Hartwig practice share, so if one of their patients comes in, check the Provider Availability Google Sheet on who is covering out of that pair. If a provider that does not practice share is signed out or if both partners in a practice share are signed out, call the person listed for Family Medicine Community OB Call.
Who to call when:
Laboring patient: If a provider does not practice share, you call the Primary OB unless they are signed out (check Provider Availability Google Sheet). If they are signed out, then call the person listed for Family Medicine Community OB Call. Bodette/Arnold, Leisure/Malloy, and Kovach/Hartwig practice share, so if one of their patients comes in, check to see which of the pair is covering laboring patients that day (see Provider Availability Google Sheet); if both are signed out, then call the person listed for Family Medicine Community OB Call.
