RYAN LARC is a project for women who are less than 300% of the poverty level and do not have insurance that will cover LARC device at the time of their delivery (IUD or nexplanon) - As MA patients have coverage so they no longer qualify for this grant. However there are some insured patients that may not have coverage and thus would qualify. A resident must place the LARC for this grant to cover the device.
For the products to be dispensed and charged correctly, it will rely on OB providers to order the devices as described below.
For women who qualify for RYAN LARC IUDs/Nexplanon:
Please continue to use the LARC panel to order IUDs and Nexplanon for women who qualify for these devices via the RYAN program
This panel is set up to not charge for IUDs and has specific instructions for pharmacy to not dispense Nexplanon from our supply and to remove the charge for the device
For patients with Medicaid, private insurance (non-RYAN LARC):
Please order these products off the preference list (and NOT via the LARC panel)
These orders are set up to charge and be dispensed from SPD/pharmacy
