When to Stay Home
To help keep our students and staff healthy and safe, students should stay home if they are experiencing any of the following:
Fever of 100°F or higher, vomiting, or diarrhea. Students must be symptom-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication before returning to school or participating in school activities.
Undiagnosed rash. If a student has a rash of unknown cause, they may be excluded from school. Return to school requires either being symptom-free or providing a note from a healthcare provider.
In the event of multiple cases of sudden illness at a school, the school nurse and principal will notify the Wilson County Health Department for further guidance and public health monitoring.
