Immunizations
As of 2025, please be aware of North Carolina’s immunization and health assessment requirements for certain students. If records are not submitted by the 30-day deadline, students will NOT be allowed to attend school until documentation is received, per state law.
Who needs updated immunization records?
Kindergartners
7th graders
12th graders
Students attending an NC public school for the first time
(This includes students enrolled in Wilson Academy of Virtual Education)
Deadline: Records must be submitted within 30 calendar days of the first day of school:
Early Colleges first day of school: August 4
Traditional Schools' first day of school: August 25
Health Assessments Required:
For all kindergartners and first-time NC public school students
Must be completed by a medical provider
Accepted if dated within one year before the first day of school
COVID-19 vaccines are NOT part of the required immunizations.
