Year 1

Welcome back! It’s been a short but busy week in Year 1, and we’ve loved hearing all about the children’s holiday adventures. We were especially impressed with their fantastic writing – such creative and thoughtful recounts of their time away from school!

In Maths, we’ve been consolidating our understanding of place value and practising counting in multiples of 2, 5, and 10. The children have shown great confidence and enthusiasm.

We’ve also started preparing for our upcoming class assemblies and are very excited to share our hard work with you soon. In Science, we’ve begun exploring the topic of plants, which is helping us learn how to care for our own class plants.
