Welcome Back to a Buzzing Start in Reception!

We’ve had a lovely start to the Summer term in Reception! The children returned from their holidays full of smiles and stories, ready to dive into a new season of learning and fun.

This week, we began talking about our exciting new topic — Minibeasts! The children are already full of questions and curiosity, and we’re all excited to learn more about these fascinating little creatures in the weeks ahead.

We also explored baby animals, learning their names and the names of their mothers. The children especially enjoyed painting them, using their creativity to bring the animals to life.

In literacy, we wrote all about our holiday adventures in our writing books, sharing special memories with our friends. In maths, we revisited numbers up to 20 and practised our number bonds — a great way to get our brains buzzing again!

We’re off to a wonderful start and can’t wait for all the learning and laughter the Summer term will bring.
