Willington Prep - Celebrating 140 years - 1885-2025
I hope that everyone has had a lovely week - another week has flown by! The children have been making some wonderful artwork, developing their knowledge and creativity in projects that you can see below. We have been particularly focusing on shading and drawing skills in Art lessons this week.
Warm regards,
Miss Beere
Head of Art
Please remind your child to bring in an art apron or old shirt if we are painting.
Year 6 have created some wonderful patterns inspired by African artists.
Year 5 have developed their "Sweet Tooth" project, adding colour to their imaginative designs using felt tip pens.
Year 4 have been working so hard on their "London Underground" project, learning to draw more accurately, adding colour carefully and shading with different pencils.
I have been amazed by the drawing skills in Year 3, who have been drawing facial features.
Year 2 have been learning more about the mosaics of Antoni Gaudi, using "mixed media" to create these lizards - felt tip pens and colouring pencils.
Year 1 have been drawing leaves and plants.
I love these rainbows that Reception have been creating!
