Willington Prep - Celebrating 140 years - 1885-2025
This weeks News!
This week, some of the Year 5's from the Willington Helping Hands Crew continued our volunteering journey with the DONS local action group. The DONS local action group, are a local based charity who collect and redistribute food to families in need. Supermarket stalls are their main food collection points and, without the stalls, the DONS local action group would not be able to provide to so many local people in need. We are so proud to be giving back to our community.
This week was Food bank Friday. Thank you for your wonderful donations.
On the first Friday of the month, pupils are encouraged to try and bring an item in. Our donations will be going to Dons Local Action Group who have provided food for over 5.5 million meals to our local community. Food bank Fridays is a way to actively support the important work of the DLAG food bank on an ongoing basis. Our foodbank basket is located in school, and you can continue to donate items throughout the month if you would like. Thank you for your support.
If you're engaged with local charities or organisations, we would love to connect with you and discuss potential partnership opportunities. Please feel free to reach out to me via email; I would be thrilled to hear from you.
