Willington Prep - Celebrating 140 years - 1885-2025
We are all very excited about the Arts Festival next week. We have some amazing artists and designers coming to the school and the children are all excited to learn about dance from different cultures, feltmaking, kitemaking, polymer clay and to visit some of the amazing galleries that London has to offer. It is great to see that the after school workshops have filled up, however there are still a few slots left on the Brazilian Dancing after school workshop for parents and children.
In the theme of the Arts Festival, creativity is such an important part of life, and I would like to encourage the children to continue creating, drawing, making and painting through the holidays, and in their own time at home. Even just spending a few minutes drawing each day, can improve confidence, concentration and mental wellbeing. Whether it is drawing from life, from a photo or just doodling, it can be so beneficial!
Children have been working hard in their Art lessons this week, creating gorgeous drawings, prints, clay sculptures, embroidery and monoprints. Take a look through the work below.
