Film and Video

Track Description: In level 1, students learn the basics of video shooting and editing as they work to become visual story tellers. As students progress into level 2 of the track, they gain a stronger understanding of video journalism with their work airing on ATV. They develop interviewing, writing, shooting, producing, and advanced editing skills. Students create their projects in the Adobe Suite and with professional camera gear. 

After Completing this Track: Students should be able to tell a story through visuals while understanding the technical set up of a video camera. Students will have advanced editing skills in Adobe Premier Pro. 

Careers Correlating: Tv Producer, Radio Producer, Director, News writer, News Anchor, Video Editor, Videographer, etc.
