Week 9: September 23-27
Monday: Students learned about Spanish Conquest in the New World with the reading and completed the reading questions. Students then created a Cartoon to demonstrate their understanding of the fall of either the Aztec or the Inca.
HW: Finish your Aztec/Inca Cartoon!
Tuesday: Students took guided notes on the Encomienda System and completed the Encomienda Exit Ticket to check their comprehension. Students began the "When Disease Played God" Reading and Reading Questions.
HW: Finish "When Disease Played God" Reading Questions if not done in class. Review materials from Exploration and Colonization to prepare for Thursday & Fridays Unit 3 Performance Task!
Wednesday: Students worked through five "Digital" Stations on the European settlement of North America. Students played the Kahoot! to review for the Assessment tomorrow and Friday.
HW: Finish any remaining Digital Stations and complete the Exit Ticket at the bottom. Review the materials (Kahoot and Study Guide are posted to the right) from Exploration and Colonization to prepare for Thursday & Fridays Unit 3 Performance Task!
Thursday: Students took the Graded Exit Ticket for Units 2 & 3. For the remainder of the period, students worked on Part 1 of the Unit 3 Performance Task: Document Based Question.
HW: None - be ready for Part 2 of the Performance Task tomorrow! Any missing work for Quarter 1 is DUE tomorrow.
Friday: Students worked on Part 2 of the Unit 3 Performance Task: Document Based Question.

Week 8: September 16-20
Monday: Students took guided notes on Mercantilism and completed the Reading Questions. Students should complete the Mercantilism Exit Ticket on Google Classroom. This is due Wednesday.
HW: Finish the Mercantilism Reading Questions and Exit Ticket if not finished in class!
Tuesday: Students worked on the Mercantilism Summary before viewing the Dutch East India Company video and completing the Video Notes.
HW: Finish the Mercantilism Summary & Mercantilism Exit Ticket. Both are DUE tomorrow!
Wednesday: Students completed a reading on the Transatlantic Slave Trade as a class. They then answered questions on triangular trade, and used the Triangular Trade Interactive posted in Google Classroom to complete their Triangular Trade Map.
HW: Finish the Reading Questions and make the Triangular Trade Map on the back. Checking these tomorrow!
Thursday: Students viewed the TED Talk on the Atlantic Slave Trade and analyzed the map of the slave trade. Students then worked on Document Analysis stations involving the Middle Passage and the Atlantic Slave Trade.
HW: None!
Friday: Students completed another group of stations involving the Middle Passage and the Atlantic Slave Trade. Today students worked on the Photo Analysis Stations, Students completed the Exit Ticket on the Transatlantic Slave Trade to finish off the week.
HW: All Stations should be complete and turned in by first thing Monday if not done in class. Have a great weekend!
