Who is Ms. Childress?
Ms. Maggie Childress is starting her fourth year of teaching, and LOVES teaching history and language arts and helping students make connections to the world around them.
Ms. Childress grew up in the mountains of Southwest Virginia. She graduated from Virginia Tech with her Bachelor's in History and Master's of Education in History and Social Science Education.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and close friends, traveling to new places, reading books, spoiling her two kittens (Reece and Savvy), and attending Virginia Tech football games! Ms. Childress loves SUMMER the most and is so excited to experience this school year with you!
Ms. Childress also serves as the Head Girls Basketball & Softball Coach at Alston Ridge. She is passionate about seeing people grow their love for sports!
