Positive
The intiative steering committee (made of teachers and students) decides upon monthly school-wide lesson times and publishes dates at the start of the school year; reminders are provided via regular communication to all faculty. Unless emergency/weather situations impact the school day--these dates will continue without interruption.
Negative
A planned school-wide lesson is canceled/rescheduled no more than 10 minutes before instruction was to begin. Some teachers recieved the communication and some did not.
Possible Resolution
A teacher politely raised the challenges that last-minute schedule changes present for classrooms. Moving forward, coworkers could agree upon norms of operation/collaboration that no schedule changes will be issued with less than 24 hours notice, while recognizing that emergency situations may occur.
