Positive
Josh has recognized that his section members struggle to march parade turns correctly. He uses some rehearsal time to break down and drill maneuvers with the less experienced marchers. Though there was improvement, he found that describing the moves was difficult and asked the band director for a more efficient approach.
Negative
Ada is struggling to complete inventory of the walk-in cooler. She was never given instruction on how to best complete the task.
Possible Resolution
Her shift lead asked if Ada understands the inventory document and can identify all of the necessary abbreviations. Ada had been embarrassed to admit her inexperience. The shift lead thanked Ada for attempting the task but reinforced that it’s OK to ask for help. They reviewed and completed the document together. Ada will be responsible for the task next week, but knows to ask for guidance if she encounters a problem.
