Leadership is about much more than commanding a group. It can be especially difficult to lead a group of your peers, many of whom have the same level of experience as you; both in life and your chosen activity. The primary goal of this program is to provide you with tools to approach the many facets of leadership with:
Confidence
Accountability
Positivity in the spirit of
Service to your organization
Use the strategies and given scenarios through this experience to help establish a framework for your approach to leadership. You may have to make inferences about how to handle similar situations in your own discipline (athletics, the arts, clubs, etc.). As with all things, you will learn through the process of doing. You will make mistakes and real-time decisions that turn out to be less than ideal. Learn from the failures and adjust your approach for the next time.
The Charisma on Command video (below) has many excellent points. It does contain spoilers for Ted Lasso, Season 1 (Apple TV+) and several instances of profane language from the show; view at your own discretion. Disregard the commercial after 15:00. The First Follower video seems silly at face value, but there are some real leadership lessons to be had in the analysis!
