The Department of Human Resources is responsible for the Leave & Time Worked Reporting System at Virginia Tech.

Leave is submitted electronically on the 10th of every month for salaried employees.
Leave must be submitted using the Leave & Time Worked Reporting System at Virginia Tech.
Recording Annual Leave
All employees must record any annual leave usage in the leave reporting system and the supervisor must approve. Audit has added this to their reviews and will be looking at this during departmental audits.
As a best practice, you should review leave entry and approval every month to ensure that your department is in compliance with this requirement.
Steps to Reconcile Leave:
Visit the Controller’s Office website
Click Legacy Web Reports under the General Accounting menu
Log in (with Banner/Oracle Username and Password)
Click Leave Reports
Click Leave Entry Checklist New System
Type in the Department, Leave Year, and Leave Period (see table below)
Click Submit Interactive

Look at who has submitted, signed, etc. to reconcile
If you are a salaried classified/staff employee or a regular faculty member that earns annual leave, you have an opportunity to donate annual leave in increments of 8 hours during an open leave share. Requests for leave share will be sent out periodically.
There is no maximum donation limitation per year, nor is there a minimum balance that must be maintained. If you wish to donate leave, you can use the Leave Sharing Donor Form.
Leave donations received after the employee's eligibility status changes (such as, return to work, disability retirement, retirement, etc.) will be returned to the donor in accordance with established HR procedures.
You MUST donate your leave to either a specific individual or area.

Leave Representative Training
Human Resources is responsible for all training with the leave system. To sign up for Leave Representative Training, visit the PageUp LMS.
Leave Representative Access
Access is granted to the leave system based on the HR Banner Access form. Follow the directions found in the HR Banner Guide for more information.
Questions to Ask Yourself:
Are leave reports submitted and reviewed timely?
Are leave guidelines understood and followed?
