Explain: Our driving question is: How can we design using technology to make a more sustainable bedroom? This means we can redesign our room using eco-friendly materials. We can improve our question by making it more specific and smoother.
In this project, we were tasked with doing our room redesign using feng shui and automation, which connects to our class driving question: How can we create a more sustainable community using art and science? Our group driving question is: How can we design using technology to make a more sustainable city? This is connected to SDG 9 because we are trying to make our city more sustainable.
I learned how feng shui works and how automation can make our lives easier. Feng shui teaches us how to arrange spaces so they feel balanced, peaceful, and comfortable. Automation can also improve our daily lives by helping us control lights, temperature, and other devices more efficiently. By combining feng shui with smart technology, we can create a bedroom that is both relaxing and sustainable.
We worked together as a team to build the classroom scale, but building the bedroom scale was my individual work. We came up with our driving question by discussing ideas as a group.
In our group, we measured the length and width of every piece of furniture in the classroom. We worked together carefully to make sure our measurements were accurate and recorded all the results so we could use them in our scale drawing.
I used the scale I learned in class and measured my room with a laser measuring tool to increase accuracy.
I changed my room using feng shui to make it feel more comfortable, organized, and peaceful. I rearranged my furniture and improved the layout so my room is a better place to study, relax, and sleep.
How can we design an air-conditioning automation system that detects body movement and reduces energy use to help address global warming?
I could improve my measurements by checking them more carefully. This would make my scale drawing more accurate.
I could improve my bedroom design by making it more organized. I would plan the layout before moving the furniture.
I could improve my automation idea by explaining it more clearly. I would add more details about how it saves energy.
This project connects to math because I used scales, measurements, and ratios. It also connects to science because I learned how automation can save energy.
Someone suggested making my driving question clearer. I listened to their feedback and changed it to better explain my project.(No name the guy don't want)
A mood board is a visual collection of images, color swatches, textures, and fonts arranged together on a page. It clearly communicates the overall style and emotional feel of a creative project before the design work begins. By grouping these elements, it helps you and your team see whether your ideas work together and ensures everyone shares the same vision.
