Things that I learned in art and geograpy is how to draw a choropleth map and how does some resouse locate. A choropleth map is a map that shows you wher does something locat. My Choropleth map shows where gold, water, and oil are.
This is my plan from the start the end my first idea is to color is one by one but after that the teacher told me to add some important things like adding compass and making it look the same.
I think my idea for this project is very creative, and my art skills are improving. However, one thing that didn't go well was that I forgot to bring my colors, so the piece looks a bit strange, and also, my first plan got denied because I didn't use the pattern. I think my total score is 8.5 out of 10.
In Mini Project 2, I learned how we can design and build a building using recycled materials, and I also learned how the location of a building can affect the entire community.
First, I search online to see how other people have designed, gathering ideas.
Next, I thought by myself for a while, and I came up with a really cool idea: I wanted my building to float in the air, even though I wasn’t totally sure how it would work yet. In the air.
I finished yay
This is what it looks like when we put all of our buildings together. We started by thinking about ideas like what to put on the top, next we started testing the look, last we stick it on so that it won't fell
Next time, I think I can try to make my house model neater and cleaner, and I will also try to complete the task on time. I will plan my work more carefully so I don’t rush at the last minute, and I will pay more attention to small details so my final product looks better.
Our group first stated brain storming ideas, and after brainstorming, we chose Finland as our sustainable city. Next, we started researching Finland. We found a lot of cool facts about Finland, for example, Finland is the world's happiest country😎. Lastly, we made our project on Canva. When we were making the Canva, we had some problems. First, we had too many words on the Canva slides. Second, we don't have enough time, but in the end, we all think of ways to solve it. In this project, I can improve my presentation skills by not looking back at my poster, and I think the project went really well. Our group mate did an amazing job.
Our presentation was created to show the most important parts of our project, including why wwe chose Dann. We used pictures to make our ideas ez to understand, and this also helped the audience see our main points more clearly and made our presentation more interesting.
Our scale model helps bring our city planning ideas to life by turning our thoughts into something clear. It turns ideas such as different areas and forest areas into a physical map that people can easily understand. Our installation art is a marble game, it can let our customers have fun and also let them learn.
I improved my design based on the feedback I received (ex. the river can be bigger), and I added more detail to my GSP. This project taught me important skills like time management, which will help me in the future. After our presentation, I used the feedback to improve our slides and the way we say, which made our final presentation better😎. The requirements for installation art, with the other art related topics we learned in class, improved my work and helped me understand how art can make the world a better place. This project changed the way I think about art. I now think that art is not only meant to be beautiful, but it can also solve real problems. I also received peer feedback on my reflection, and one suggestion was to carefully fix all grammar mistakes because they can affect my grade.
Creating the model was very hard, but it was also a fun experience. It taught me why it is important to be flexible. Through practice, we learned how to present naturally, and the audience’s feedback showed us that our project was good, but we can make more eye contect. Teamwork is very important for the project. Everyone in our group and we learned how to communicate and work together.
