1. Getting Better at My Work
One work habit I improved was staying focused on the math because I used to get distracted by changing colors and designs. When I focused on the math first, I made fewer mistakes and finished faster.
Next time, I will use this habit by solving and checking all my math before I start decorating my slides, so my work will be correct and look good too.

I choose to use area model because it helps me see the parts of the problem clearly. I can draw a rectangle and divide it to show the percent, which makes it easier to understand how much of the whole it is. Something fun about it I draw all the dout by my own.

To make the math the star of the show, I used simple colors, and kept the background plain so it wouldn’t distract from the math. I am most proud of my slide that shows the area model because it clearly shows each step, and it makes the slide.

1. Rubric & Writing (The “Check”)
To make my writing smoother, I read my sentences out loud to see if anything sounded awkward. I checked that my sentences started with capital letters, like in “A submarine” and “It,” and made sure I put periods in the right places so each step of the trip stayed separate. I also double-checked the spelling of words like “submarine” and “feet,” so my teacher could focus on my ideas instead of getting distracted by typos.

By labeling the side from 0 down to 120, the picture helps you see that when the submarine goes down, the numbers are getting farther away from the surface.

Reflection Question 1: Mathematical Logic and Growth
. In my Mini Project 5, my pattern starts with 8 triangles and 1 square. Every time the pattern grows, I add 8 more triangles and 1 more square. This means the pattern follows a rule of adding the same number each time, so it is a growing pattern. I can use math to predict how many shapes I will need in each stage. For example, if the pattern grows 3 times, I would have 24 triangles and 3 squares added to the original pattern. This shows how mathematical logic helps me understand and describe the pattern clearly.

The repeated shapes also show unity because even though the pattern grows bigger, all the parts still work together as one design. It is important for a Global Citizen to use math because math helps us plan carefully. We need math to make sure there is enough space, enough materials, and a good design for everyone as the community grows. Using math helps create a community that is organized, fair, and sustainable.

Working together made our mosaic stronger because it represented teamwork, respect, and unity.

Making graphs is my favorite topic because it lets me combine art and math. I get to change and make my work look good while I do calculations. I also really enjoy creating patterns, because patterns are very similar to graphs; they make the work interesting for me.
