Symbiosis is when two different living things live close together and have a relationship with each other for a long time. In this relationship, at least one of them benefits. Sometimes both living things are helped, sometimes only one is helped, and sometimes one is helped while the other is hurt. Symbiosis is important because it shows how plants and animals depend on each other to survive in nature. One example of symbiosis is bees and flower. Bees fly to flowers to collect food. While they do this, pollen sticks to the bees and gets carried to other flowers. This helps the flowers make seeds, so both the bees and flowers benefit. Another example is clownfish and sea anemones. The clownfish hides in the anemone’s tentacles to stay safe from predators. In return, the clownfish helps keep the anemone clean. Both help each other.

If we think of Taiwan as an ecosystem, there are many limiting factors that affect how large the human population can grow. One important limiting factor is space. Taiwan is a small island, and a large part of it is covered by mountains, which means there is limited flat land for homes, schools, roads, and farms. As more people live in cities, places can become crowded.Another limiting factor is natural resources. Fresh water is especially important because Taiwan relies a lot on rain. During droughts, there may not be enough water for people, farms, and factories. Food is also a factor since Taiwan does not have much farmland and needs to import food from other countries.Jobs and housing can also limit population growth. If there are not enough jobs, people may have trouble earning money. Housing can become expensive when too many people want to live in the same areas. Lastly, natural disasters like typhoons and earthquakes can damage buildings and resources, making it harder to support a larger population.
