If I can choose one place to live, I will choose Canada. I pick Canada because it does not have a lot of very dangerous natural disasters. Canada does have some problems like snowstorms, wildfires, flooding, and sometimes earthquakes, but I don’t think these happen all the time. Most of the time, people just go on with their daily lives. Snowstorms can be annoying, but Canada people are used to them, and the country has good systems to clear the roads. Wildfires happen in the summer, but not everywhere, and people usually get warnings. Flooding can happen too, but only in certain places. Earthquakes are rare, and most of them are small.

I feel like Canada is still a safe place overall. The natural hazards there are not as bad as the disasters in many other countries. For me, that makes Canada a comfortable place to live. That is why I choose Canada.

Tropical cyclone, hurricane, typhoon, and cyclone are all connected because they are basically the same kind of storm, just with different names in different parts of the world. The general name for this kind of storm is a tropical cyclone. When it forms in the Atlantic Ocean or the eastern Pacific, people call it a hurricane. If it forms in the western Pacific, it is called a typhoon. In the Indian Ocean or near Australia, the same type of storm is simply called a cyclone.

Even though the names change based on the location, the storms themselves are very similar. They all have strong winds, heavy rain, and can cause flooding and damage. The only real difference between them is where they happen.
