1. Roast peanuts in the top level of the oven at 180 Celsius
2. Blend the roasted peanuts in a food processor until it reaches desired smoothness. There are generally six phases based on the granularity and smoothness of the peanut butter.
Phase 1 (1 – 2 minutes): The broken peanuts are coarse and fluffy
Phase 2 (2 – 5 minutes): The broken peanuts are coarse but gradually stick together Phase 3 (5 – 8 minutes): The broken peanuts are coarse but oily
Phase 4 (8 – 13 minutes): The broken peanuts are finer with clear swirls and transforming into paste Phase 5 (13 – 15 minutes): The peanut butter is paste-like with a few less fine pieces.
Phase 6 (15 – 20 minutes): The peanut butter is paste-like with oil on the surface. Blend to desired smoothness.
